Abigail Levene

London-born Abigail has been based in Amsterdam for more than two decades. She rediscovered her childhood/teenage love of theatre a few years ago with the InPlayers and has since been delighted to appear in productions with both InPlayers and Downstage Left including Don’t Dress for Dinner, Nymph Errant, Playground 4, One Table Two Chairs, Are you in Love Yet, The Astronaut’s Missing Passport, and An Enemy of the People.

Amanda lee

Cast

Amanda is a devoted performer from Hong Kong with a couple years of experience in professional and university theatre, theme park performances, musical theatre, and short films. She is also trying her best not to be a disgrace to her Asian family at all times, studying at the University of Amsterdam by day. After making her Dutch musical debut with Monstersongs in October, she is excited to work with Inplayers and Downstage Left for the first time. Amanda is also holding strong onto a personal record of sleeping for 16 hours straight in one go.

Ángela Sedeño-Cacciatore

Ángela is a serial hobby collector; she has delved into various crafts, improv, stand-up, sewing... It was only a matter of time for her to try costume design, which immediately became a new passion of hers. She has designed costumes for the musical Monstersongs produced by The Cauldron, and for the InPlayers production of Noir Suspicions.

Benjamin Keaton

Cast

Benjamin has been acting since he was a wee boy in Alabama in his first role as Mike Teavee in Willy Wonka. While that was type casting, he has since stretched himself dramatically over the years and has been a part of several productions in Amsterdam, the latest of which was with the InPlayers as the “Man” in last year’s production of the Virtuous Burglar. 

Anna Anning

Cast

Anna graduated with a degree in Film & Theatre Studies from her native New Zealand and has spent the last 13 years nurturing her performance skills in Sydney, Vancouver, London, and now Amsterdam. After a break from acting she returned to the stage in “Silver Wedding” with the InPlayers and most recently portrayed a heavily pregnant woman in the comedy “Womberang” as part of Downstage Left’s Playground 4. Anna is also a potato chip addict. 

Brian Ligthart

Brian has been an actor for 10 years, both in films, short films, commercials and on stage. He worked together with the InPlayers before in 2016. Also groups like Downstage Left and the Badhuistheater. Last year he founded a new group called Playhouse and they produced their first play called The Portuguese Kid. 

Christine Blakeley

Cast

Christine has been involved with the InPlayers and Downstage left for many years. She has worked in many productions both on and off stage. She is delighted to be in the first collaboration of both groups.

Denis Burke

Cast

Dom was born in a boring place called Swindon but spent most of his life in Italy where he studied theatre and commedia dell'arte. Shortly after moving to Amsterdam, he fell in love with improv. He is a main cast member of easylaughs, an English-speaking improv and stand-up comedy group based in Amsterdam. When he's not performing (musical) improv, stand-up comedy, and (musical) theatre, Dom spends his time going from one existential crisis to another.

Ente Breed

After having lived in Japan, the USA, Hong Kong and Denmark, Ente has recently returned to his first love: Amsterdam. He rediscovered his love of theatre in Copenhagen, where he performed in several productions and was involved in writing, producing and designing for others. He is thrilled to have joined an inspirational group of international people creating theatrical magic and is excited to help provide a bit of Christmas cheer.

Eoghan Kellher

Eoghan hails from Ireland and recently made the move to Amsterdam. An unexpected and positive surprise has been discovering a very active theatre community in effect here. He's delighted to be in another production with the InPlayers and Downstage Left and hopes you enjoy the show.

An Australian who has been living in Zuid-Holland for almost 28 years. She’s been involved with amateur theatre since her youth. She’s acted, directed, stage-managed, and has done lighting and sound for various theatre groups. She is proud to be involved in another InPlayers & Downstage Left production.

Katya Petrova

Stage manager

Katya has been acting for more than 15 years, she has started in University Theater playing various parts, the most noticeable one was  Eliza Doolitle in “My Fair Lady”. She has been active member for Amsterdam amateur theatre since 2018, her credits include “Cabaret” and “Virtuous Burglar” for InPlayers, “Allo Allo” and “Good soldier Sveijk” for Badhuis Theater and “The Portuguese Kid” for Playhouse theater group. Katya is also an experienced Irish dancer and she enjoys participating in Irish dancing competitions.

Maria Charles

Maria discovered her love of theatre at the age of six years old - and the start of a lifelong unrequited admiration for a 400+ year old Lord Admiral's Man. Over the ensuing decades while acting the professional ODD project manager by day, she revelled in portraying a plethora of personalities in amateur theatre productions in her private time. From Thisbe to Viola, Mrs. Swab to Mrs. Troggs, Elizabeth Procter to Frosine, and many chorus and colourful nameless characters in between. Maria is also a devout follower of Saturnalia and other winter celebrations; including the new one (Christmas).

Morag McLean

Set Designer

Morag has now retired from a lifetime of work for film, television and theatre as a sculptor, prop-maker, costume FX and SFX creator and with occasional set construction thrown into the mix. So, not really retired after all, she continues to add the frilly, silly, weird and quirky to any production. For this project she is assisting the wonderful Jess.
