Auditions are open for InPlayers’ Fall production: Murder in the Studio by Agatha Christie.

This show consists of three separate radio plays, all written by the queen of crime: Personal Call, Yellow Iris, and Butter in a Lordy Dish.

You are called to audition to play the part as one of the voice actors that voice one or multiple characters of one radio play. If you are cast for this production, you’ll portray an actor who performs in the studio, as if it was a podcast, with a live audience. In other words: each of the three whodunnits is a radio play within a stage play, with the audience playing… the audience.

Each radio play has a foley artist: this performer produces the sound effects that set the tone for the story and voice one or more characters.

Besides the three stories, there is an overarching storyline about the actors that perform in the radio plays. More will be revealed about this, at the auditions.

We encourage all aspiring actors of 18 and above, of all ethnicities, abilities and gender identities to sign up to audition for the characters they’d like to portray. Please fill out and submit the audition form below before xxx.

As the auditions take place on dates when many people vacation, you have the opportunity to audition with a pre-recorded video. You will receive more information about this after you sign up.
