Angelica Andersson

After a lot of traveling, visiting most corners of the world, Angelica auditioned for an acting program in London. She fell in love with the craft and performed on stage both in London and Stockholm. In recent years, she mainly focused on acting in front of the camera. Inspired by writers and directors such as René Small and László Lenhardt, she started producing her own short films and getting involved in directing, writing and producing for others. After recently being on stage again, she was reminded how much she misses the Theatre and is very excited and thankful to be a part of this creative ensemble directed by George Hansel.

Rudi Araújo

In his Academy Award acceptance speech — which he never delivered to an audience wider than his cat, on account of a technicality: having never won such an award, — he dedicated that achievement to the Actor's Studio, in which he never set foot, but in which many whom he so often mimicked while in his shower did. Following Stanislavsky's footsteps, he too has seen his breakthrough in professional theatre delayed, so much so that it hasn't actually happened. In his hometown of Lisbon, Portugal he was involved in the amateur and academic theatre circles, having played in productions such as “Ecstasy”, “Epistle To Young Actors”, “The Importance Of Being Earnest” and, later in The Netherlands, with InPlayers and other groups, “An Enemy Of The People”, “Medea”, and “Womberang”.

Diego Best

A recent graduate of the Mulholland Academy professional acting program, Diego is following his passion. It took something of a global pandemic for him to realize where that passion truly lies, but post-discovery he's thrown his limitless energy into the acting world. He is deeply grateful to be included in this talented ensemble of international actors and can't wait to show the audience what we've created. Be advised: this is only the beginning.

Ente Breed

In 2022, after having lived in Japan, the USA, Hong Kong and Denmark, Ente returned to his first love: Amsterdam. He had rediscovered his love of theatre in Copenhagen, where he performed in several productions and was involved in writing, producing and designing for others. He was fortunate to be part of the wonderful InPlayers production of "It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play" in December 2022. Ente is thrilled to continue with this inspirational group of international people, creating theatrical magic in the Dutch capital.

Laura Durnford

Laura has performed with InPlayers in ‘Clockwork Orange’ and ‘None the Wiser’ and participated in several workshops, both acting and directing. For ‘Allegro’ she was assistant director, producer, props creator, publicist and part of the stage management team. Her previous experience includes lead and other acting and singing roles in school and community productions such as ‘Threepenny Opera’, ‘Smike’ and ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’. Following twelve years as a radio programme maker and presenter, and now with voiceovers in her work portfolio, Laura is delighted to take part in what is probably the English-speaking world’s most famous play for voices.

Jeremy Keighley

Jeremy is from Derbyshire, England where he made his acting debut at the age of seven playing the title role in the pantomime “Humpty Dumpty”. He painted many items of scenery and worked as stage manager as well as having various acting roles in both England and Vienna, before moving to Amsterdam in 1997. Although he made his debut for In Players in Alan Ayckbourn’s “Confusions” in 1998, due to family commitments, his recent appearance in “Suspicions Noir” was his first acting role for 20 years. Jeremy is very active as performing poet in the Amsterdam poetry scene with the Amsterdam Poetry Critique Group. His favourite poets are Dylan Thomas and Joe Strummer.

Laura Keown

Back in her home country of Ireland, Laura took to the stage at a very young age taking part in dance, musical theater, and amateur drama groups. She has since participated in a variety of theater festivals in a variety of roles in production such as Brecht’s “The Caucasian Chalk Circle”, “Say Cheese” by Bernard Farrell, “the Silver Tassie”, “Les Miserables”, “The Cat and The Moon”, “As You Like It”, and “The Plough and the Stars” to name a few. Laura since went on to study a master’s in Theater in Galway, Ireland. “Under Milk Wood” makes Laura’s return to the stage since moving to Amsterdam in 2019. She is delighted to be a new member of the InPlayers and looks forward to bringing the words of Dylan Thomas to life!

Ken Kitchen

Ken has been in a great number of InPlayer productions. He trained at the Drama Centre, London (a 3-year full time course) and has also done shows with Mike’s Badhuis group, Strike me Pink Productions, and the Orange Tee group. Rehearsing for “Under Milkwood” has been a joy.

Bianca Knijn

Born in Amsterdam in 1960, she was always fond of being on stage. As a 6 year old she was overjoyed to be in her first classical ballet performance and that feeling always stayed with her. She found several ways to be on a stage by dancing, singing, being in talent shows in high school, organising theme parties (with acting) doing make-up, in cabaret courses, art school, and in many performances, with and for people with dementia. She is very excited to be part of the wonderful cast and crew in this unique play. She feels like her 6 year old self again; very happy.

Nardi Lam

Born in Amsterdam and raised in nearby Krommenie, Nardi (28) has performed in a number of plays with local amateur theater group Morgana since 2015. Among them were a deep-fried adaptation of “Much Ado About Nothing” (playing the deceitful Don John) and a colorful production of Yasmina Reza’s “God Of Carnage” (playing the arrogant Alan Raleigh). This has been a welcome creative outlet next to his education and now occupation in IT. While he has been acting for a while “Under Milk Wood” is a big step out of his comfort zone; being his first time crossing the language barrier and with such a unique play to boot. But this creative challenge is sure to pay off in the end!

Lydia Muijen

Lydia Muijen exemplifies the saying "luck is being ready when opportunity strikes". While reciting Chaucer at a gallery in Los Angeles she was asked to write song lyrics for a movie starring Jessie Eisenberg and Justin Bartha called “Holy Rollers”. She played Maria Wallner in “Judgment at Nuremberg” directed by Diane Namm and performed at the Santa Monica Playhouse starring Katharine Ross, Drake Hogestyn, and Ian Patrick Williams. While doing children's theater she was pegged by director Cyrus Nowrasteh to play a bald soothsayer in “The Young Messiah” alongside Jonathan Bailey, Sean Bean, and Giselda Volodi. She loved working with Tigran Mutafyan, Spector Nikitas, Ian Boisvert, and Han Rhyu to name a few. After having done “Dead Nice” with Delphine Ural, Lydia is excited to work with George Hansel a second time.

Louise O’Meara

Louise is Irish, living in The Hague and has trained with Galway Youth Theatre, The English Drama Ensemble, Salzburg, Eolia Conservatory, Barcelona, Michael Chekhov Performance, Ireland and The Gaiety School of Acting, Dublin where she graduated in 2014 from the full-time actor training course. She has acted in theatre plays at The Gaiety Theatre, Smock Alley Theatre, Bewley’s Café Theatre and The Mill Theatre Dundrum in Ireland, several radio plays (Bram Stoker Festival, Crazy Dog Productions), performed as a dance performer (Dublin Dance Festival, Axis Ballymun) and occasionally as a voiceover actor for animation (“Fritzi: a Revolutionary Tale”). Most recently she played the role of Paulina in Leiden English Theatre’s “The Seagull”. This is her first production with InPlayers and she’s excited to work on it!

Terrence T Sinclair

Terry studied performing arts in New York. After he graduated he travelled throughout the world with a musical company. Once settled in The Netherlands, he has been featured in many different television productions: first as a dancer in musical shows and later as an actor in soaps and children’s programs. As he speaks several languages, he has performed in dozens of productions ranging from classical plays to comedies and musicals. For the InPlayers, he has not only had the pleasure to perform in many productions but also directed a few. He’s glad to be back on stage together with this wonderful, talented cast.

Delphine Ural

Delphine is a French veterinarian and actress who is lucky to be able to combine the two passions of her life. She relocated to Amsterdam in 2017 after living in Belgium, England, France and Malta. Her acting debut was in high school, performing in “The Threepenny Opera” by Brecht with the National French Youth Theatre. In Malta, she participated in the creation, production and performance of several original pieces. As soon as she arrived in Amsterdam, she got involved with the InPlayers and joined their committee for 3 years. She took part in a few their productions: “Nymph Errant”, “Buried Child” (as Assistant Director), “Allegro” and “The Elephant Man” (as Stage Manager). She also had leading roles in productions with other theatrical groups and appeared in major roles in a few feature films, which have been rewarded with multiple awards. Acting is her passion and joy, and she is delighted to be part of “Under the Milkwood”.

George Hansel
Director

George Hansel has spent his adult life working in one aspect of the theater or another. Having lived outside of NYC for most of that time he's been fortunate to have many of the opportunities that a big city has to offer. Not only has he had the privilege of seeing many professionals perform on Broadway, but also has had the chance to study and work with many of them along the way. George has worked as an actor, singer, professional clown, producer, director, lighting and technical designer, acting coach, and has owned and/or operated a number of traveling children's theatre companies. He spent 9 seasons at Monmouth University's Shadow Lawn Theatre and ran the Black Box of Asbury Park, a not-for-profit performance space, for 12 years. There he helped create many original events including an Annual Woman's Art Festival that performed in various venues throughout the town for over three weeks every Fall.

Rae Silcox
Assistant Director & Stage Manager

Rae studied Performing Arts at London Centre for Theatre Studies and make-up for stage and film at Brushstroke (Shepperton Studios). After completing her studies, Rae worked for many different theatre productions in London and then in Yorkshire, in the UK. She then moved into Event Management and started her own company organising musical events and assisting with promoting local charities. Moving to Amsterdam in August 2022 she immediately joined InPlayers and helped with Stage Management for their production of “Noir Suspicions”. Having always had an interest in directing, Rae is thrilled to be assisting George and learning the ropes from him, with a view moving on to directing a play herself in future.

Yann Belin
Lighting Designer

Yann has been involved in the Amsterdam theater community since 2014, and he has worked both onstage and backstage for English (“Into The Woods”, “Contractions”, “Avenue Q”, “Monstersongs”) and French (“Les Sept Jours De Simon Labrosse”, “Le Crime De l'Orient Express”) productions since then. After working in the tech booth for “Little Shop Of Horrors” in 2021, he fell in love with stage lighting and was delighted to join the “Under Milk Wood” team for another round!

Ángela Sedeño Cacciatore
Costume Designer

Ángela is a serial hobby collector; she has dabbled into various crafts, improv, stand-up, and sewing. It was only a matter of time before she tried her hand at costume design and making, which has since become a new passion of hers. She now collaborates with various English-speaking theatre groups in Amsterdam and has designed costumes for various productions, including InPlayers productions of “Noir Suspicions” and “It’s A Wonderful Life: A Radio Play”. You can find more info and pictures at www.angelasedeno.com.

Oscar Ramspek
Sound Designer

Oscar played classical clarinet in several professional orchestras, but mainly for 30 years in PHION, Arnhem. He also played in the ECYO and Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. He teaches music at ArtEZ Conservatorium in Zwolle. When he retired from the orchestra he studied mathematics at the HU in Utrecht and now teaches mathematics. He likes to be involved in audio and video, making soundscapes for various plays for several theater companies. He also makes recordings of audio drama for Canopy and podcasts for Combiwel. He has been involved with the InPlayers for many years, making video registrations and soundscapes for musical performances like “Nymph Errant”, “Allegro” and “Cabaret”.
