The directors xxx, xxx, xxx
Sven Yaffe director of Time Will Tattle
Trading South Africa for the Netherlands, Sven is thrilled to take the director’s chair, returning to theatre after 13 years away. His passion for performing was sparked by his British grandparents introducing him to classic British comedies, Blackadder being a favourite. Choosing theatre school over traditional high school, he spent his youth on stage and holds an Associate Diploma in Speech and Drama Performance from Trinity College.
By day, he navigates the ad world as a Business Operations Manager at Ogilvy. A dedicated problem solver and solutionist, Sven champions communication, blending an analytical mind with a love for art, fashion, and film. He loves escaping into nature to disconnect from the noise and surround himself with beauty and wildlife.
Fun Fact: Sven once designed a red carpet gown for a friend’s movie premiere, and his late twenties performance in the musical Gigi earned him a spot in the Cape Times!
Ina Klaric director of The Last Train
Originally from Croatia, Ina is a lifelong wannabe actor now expanding her creative horizons into directing and production as a student in Amsterdam. She works and studies in IT, so she was dreaming for an opportunity like this to come along, now she will live in peace.
Alongside her acting roots, Ina has dipped her toes into short film production, feeding a passion for the full creative process from script to screen. She is excited to direct for the first time and is embracing every challenge that comes with it.
When not on set or in rehearsal, Ina can be found travelling, dancing, playing volleyball, soaking up sunshine somewhere, and finding inspiration in all things creative.
Kati Schulze director of Kitten Chops
Kati Schulze (she/they) is a German-born actor and has been performing on the Amsterdam stage since 2020, most notably in the NL-premiere of the musical Heathers.
This will be Kati's second production with the InPlayers and their directorial debut for which they are incredibly excited!
Kati was a performing arts major in high school and has been performing, singing and writing since she was 13. She was always a creative, so that even during their 5-year break, in which she pursued a computer science degree, she chose to minor in games engineering and combined hard maths with the storytelling that she loves.
Nowadays Kati splits their time between DevOps engineering by day and actress by night.
Fun fact: She once hugged Taylor Swift (but does not consider herself a Swifty).
Sam Aronson director of Little Monsters
SAM ARONSON moved to Amsterdam from Philadelphia in 2022 to follow his creative passions and to leave behind his corporate career. His primary focus is everything theatre – as an actor, director, and as various roles supporting production. He has worked with InPlayers International Drama Group, Playhouse, Downstage Left, and more.
Fun Fact: When not acting, Sam likes to write poetry and to test the limits of his 3D printer (he is always open to requests for prints, please do ask). You can see some of his quirkily optimistic work and moments from his prior productions at @glasshalffullofwhat.
Di Ratushnyy director of Sunday Morning
DMITRY “DI” RATUSHNYY is an improviser-turned-writer, based in Amsterdam. He trained as an improviser at Boom Chicago and Easy Laughs and took various courses on acting, character comedy and clowning. He has performed as a part of the improv group "Two Minds Working as one-half" in Amsterdam and Eindhoven.
He volunteered for 2 years at the IMPRO Amsterdam festival in the role of webmaster. In July 2025, Dmitry founded a small production company named "The Redacted Bureau."
In October 2025, his first one-act play was staged and performed at the "More Play" event organized by Willem van den Brink.
Heriana Kola director of Pyaar vs. Parivaar
Originally from Albania, where theatre first reached me through radio voices and TV screens, I later discovered the magic of the stage while living in Rome. I am now based in Amsterdam, the city that gave me permission to make theatre. Here, I joined Korego Theatergroep and spent eight years performing in several productions. My favourite roles include the wife in The Open Couple by Dario Fo and Franca Rame, Lampito in Lysistrata by Aristophanes, and the maid in I Married You for Fun by Natalia Ginzburg.
I’m now making my directing debut with Pyaar vs Parivaar, a mix of nerves, excitement, and “I can’t believe I get to do this.”
Off stage, I’m a mum to a seven‑year‑old girl, a wife, a volunteer, and I still manage a corporate life as a Finance Credit Controller.
Fun fact: My seven‑year‑old has started giving me “feedback” on my rehearsals. Apparently, I need “more drama.” She might be right.
