InPlayers organise informal and free play readings regularly for its members and non-members. It’s the perfect to way to socialise with like-minded-theatre-loving people!

On Thursday, January 16, from 19:00, we will get together to read Crave (1998), by Sarah Kane.

Location: To be confirmed

Crave is a play with no stage directions or any indication of when or where it is set, who the characters are, nor how it should be performed. This leaves it open for creative ideas of how to do it.

“Four nameless characters from an unidentifiable city, tell their tales of disintegration and isolation. Their dialogues meet, converge and move apart with balletic grace, with caustically humorous as well as distressing consequences” - Time Out

Warning: It’s an exciting, poetic, dramatic play but by no means an easy read. Anyone attending should be aware that there are references to violence, abuse and mental health problems.
