About the class
Are you someone interested in the technical side of theater? Do you enjoy fixing things or knowing how things work? This beginner-friendly workshop introduces the fundamentals of theatrical lighting and audio, including basic equipment set up, use and how it all fits into a theatre show. Perfect for aspiring technicians and those interested in backstage production. This class will be taught in the theatre pavilion at Treehouse NDSM.
About the instructor
Sheila Bosco is a lifelong theatre maker who has spent many years as a theater manager, producer, technical director, sound and lighting technician/designer, and musician. This range of experience has allowed her to teach not only how equipment works, but how lighting and audio function within the larger creative and collaborative process of a production.
Sheila is a company member of Flock Theatre in Amsterdam and It’s Your Fault Theater in New York City. She serves as Technical Director for Cauldron Performing Arts and is a resident artist at Treehouse NDSM, where she runs her production company Bosco Productions.
