To make this vibrant living space come to life, we are looking for enthusiastic Set Builders / Makers to help design and construct our stage scenery.
About the Role: You will collaborate with the director and production team to design, source materials, and build a set that reflects the heart of the show. Whether you are an amateur carpenter, a handy DIY enthusiast, or an aspiring stage designer, your skills will directly shape the visual identity of this production.
Key Timelines:
Set Construction and Sourcing: throughout June and July, 2026.
Set Build: Wednesday July 29 & Thursday July 30 (day time), 2026
Production Dates: July 31 to August 8, 2026.

About the authors
James Berg is an American television producer and writer. He has written for many television series, including The Golden Girls, Roseanne and Gilmore Girls and the 1996 feature film A Very Brady Sequel. His other television writing credits include Brothers, Just Our Luck, George Burns Comedy Week, Hooperman, Something Wilder, Fame, and Wanda at Large. He co-created the sitcom, Rita Rocks, starring Nicole Sullivan and Tisha Campbell-Martin, which ran on Lifetime Television.
Stan Zimmerman is a man of many mediums (TV, film and theatre). Stan has written for many television series, including The Golden Girls and Roseanne.He’s also written and produced on Gilmore Girls, co-created the Lifetime sitcom, Rita Rocks, wrote on both Brady Bunch movies and rewrote the ABC-TV movie of Annie. Stan has a BFA-Drama from NYU/Circle-in-the-Square and has directed LA productions of The Diary of Anne Frank, Entertaining Mr. Sloane, A Tuna Christmas, Gemini, Spike Heels and his original plays — Meet & Greet, Knife to the Heart, Have a Good One, and Yes Virginia. Stan directed Off-Broadway’s Hyprov. He’s appeared on numerous podcasts, national morning shows, and as the “Bartender” on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live. Stan was the host/showrunner on Bravo’s Situation: Comedy, a reality show produced by Sean Hayes. Stan’s memoir, The Girls: From Golden to Gilmore was released by Indigo River Publishing.
Berg and Zimmerman wrote the Lifetime hit Christmas movie, Ladies of the 80’s: A Divas Christmas. They received two WGA nominations – one for The Golden Girls, “Rose’s Mother” and one for the lesbian kiss episode of Roseanne, “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”.
