Workshop: Alexander Technique

  • CREA Nieuwe Achtergracht Amsterdam, NH, 1018 Netherlands (map)

The Alexander Technique promotes awareness and balance in everyday life, improves your quality of life, changes your ingrained habits and patterns, and helps to reduce and prevent stress and relieve pain.  During this introduction course, Sanderijn will help you gain a better understanding, organisation and use of your body, resulting in better posture and balance, significant reduction in stress, and relieve and prevention of pain and discomfort. This will improve your stage presence!

Using her experience in working with groups, she will show the participants the use and value of the Alexander Technique and teach them awareness of body and mind. During the course, she will pay special attention to the optimal psychometric functioning of the participants by correcting posture and balance.

She will also discuss physical and mental stress reduction, thus diminishing and preventing pain and discomfort. She will explain and demonstrate this by practical work with the participants, and will show how optimal behaviour can be achieved and how you can incorporate the Alexander Technique in everyday life to greatly improve your quality of life.

The group will be fairly small, which allows for individual attention to your specific tension fields and challenges. Examples of better use and how to get there will be given in front of the group, so everyone will benefit.

Sanderijn Tas is a certified Alexander Technique teacher and has been giving courses and private lessons for over 20 years. She is a member of NeVLAT.
