Workshop: Character Development

  • Polanentheater 174 Polanenstraat Amsterdam, NH, 1013 WC Netherlands (map)

Does your CHARACTER need DEVELOPMENT?  Maybe yours doesn't, but have you ever been given a role in a show where you thought, “I have no idea where to begin”? Well, HELP IS ON THE WAY!

Ken will be sharing some shortcuts and tips on how to find the “inner voice” of a stage or screen role. Join us for a few hours of exploration in how to take the first few steps in creating a fully fleshed character. Whether they are just like you, or the furthest away yourself as you can imagine, you can still get inside the skin of any role you play with these crucial (or maybe simple?) first steps.

Ken Kitchen spent three years at the Drama Centre, Camden (UK) in the mid-70s, and has acted all his life. He has been a member of the InPlayers for the past 15 years and involved in many productions, both on stage and in the wings.
