Play Reading April

  • Crea, Room 3.06 170 Nieuwe Achtergracht Amsterdam, NH, 1018 WV Netherlands (map)

InPlayers organise informal and free play readings regularly for its members and non-members. It’s the perfect way to socialise with like-minded-theatre-loving people!

On Saturday 18th April at 10:00 (yes, 10:00!), we will get together to read The Silent Woman, a comedy by Ben Jonson, first performed in the 1609.

Location: Crea room 3.06

If you like Shakespeare you might also like Ben Jonson. Ben often spoke fondly of Shakespeare calling him “Thou star of poets,” and that he going to be remembered for his work. Ben mentioned that Shakespeare was “Not for an age but for all time.”

The play reading will be hosted by Lydia Muijen. She wrote her master thesis at the University of Amsterdam on Chaucer and Cross Cultural Contact in the Darkest of Ages.

It is a free event; no experience necessary; all ages welcome; but registration is required.
