Synopsis of the Play: Adapted from Ken Kesey’s novel, the play centres on Randle McMurphy a convict who simulates mental illness in the hope that a transfer to psychiatric hospital might ensure his early release. But he hasn’t bargained for the rigid regimen of Nurse Ratched, who dislikes his disruptive — though he’d say liberating — effect on the ward. The play shows how one man’s struggle against a ruthless system can grow into a powerful indictment of authority and conformism.
About the Director: Nina has directed many plays for the InPlayers: Mother Goose, Amadeus, The Real Inspector Hound, Arsenic and Old Lace, Clockwork Orange and The Elephant man.
