OPEN CALL - Join BegInPlayers
InPlayers announces an exciting opportunity to showcase and grow new talent. Have you ever thought about writing, directing, managing sound and lighting, or stage managing for a theater production, but you weren’t sure how to start?
Enter BegInPlayers, a celebration of new talent that pairs experienced members of our theater community with people who want to try a new way to participate in a production - in front of a live audience!
When?
The BegInPlayers performances will take place on the 8th, 9th and 10th of May. We will have a technical rehearsal day on May 7th.
Where?
The perfomances will take place at Mike’s Badhuis, Boerhaaveplein 28, 1091 AT Amsterdam.
Rehearsals will take place at different locations in Amsterdam.
Who?
We welcome everyone to participate in BegInPlayers and especially encourage people who are interested in becoming playwrights, directors, sound and lighting technicians, and stage managers to sign up. Training and mentoring will be provided. You can also sign-up if you’d like to be a mentor.
Please use the form below to show you’re interested to take part. Please do so latest 28 February. However for writers the deadline is 31 January.

Details for Writers
Plays submitted by new writers must be between 10 and 25 minutes in length.
The theme is open.
Writers may not direct or act in their own work.
Submissions Due: Interested writers must submit a complete draft of a new script by 31 January. If your script is selected for BegInPlayers, rewrites may be submitted until 28 February.
We will be having a meeting dedicated toe the submitted pieces, with a feedback session for the writers in mid February.
How to Sign Up
Anyone who is intereted in participating in BegInPlayers (including actors) should fill in our registration form (latest 28 February, for writers 31 January ). Participation is free for members. You’ll receive additional information following your registration.
