Noir Suspicions

POSTPONED until further notice

The InPlayers is proud to present Noir Suspicions.

Book by David Landau and Nikki Stern. Directed by Christine Blakeley

About the Production:

“In this hard boiled comic mystery sequel to the ever-popular Murder at Cafe Noir [performed by the InPlayers in 2015], ex-private eye Rick Archer is now the confused manager of Cafe Noir on the island of Mustique. He is confronted with a corpse on the dock, a mysterious femme fatale, a French blackmailer and a businessman who wants both the cafe and the woman. Rick is arrested after the blackmailer is murdered in his club. It is up to the audience to convince the magistrate that he is innocent. A tribute to Casablanca with many references to the classic movie, Noir Suspicions is guaranteed to delight audiences whether or not they are familiar with Muder at Cafe Noir.”

COVID-19

Obviously the last few months have been very unique, and getting together to rehearse or perform anything has been close to impossible. We still do not know for certain what the regulations will be in October, and of course we intend to adhere to government guidelines to ensure each other’s safety. This means that Noir Suspicions may not be playing to a full house, and also that adjustments to the schedule are very likely to occur as the process moves along. This being said, InPlayers are committed to this production, and will do everything we can, within the law, to move it forward.

An Introduction to Burlesque Workshop

Burlesque is, most simply put, the art of the tease. Together with local Amsterdam burlesque performer Alli Wallace, we will explore the basics and focus on tapping into the self-confidence and empowerment that burlesque can help unlock from within ourselves.
